PSG have taken the spotlight in almost every transfer window over the past decade. From the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic or David Beckham to the latest, stellar signing of Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain became the place where superstars began to land. In fact, their move for Neymar remains the world record transfer to date.
The Brazilian star shocked the soccer world a few years ago when he decided to leave Barcelona and try a new adventure in the French Ligue 1. Paris handed $244.20 million to the Cules to secure the world-class winger.
Earlier this year, there was plenty of speculation regarding Neymar’s future as his contract was set to expire next season. But he put pen to paper for a new deal that will see much more money come his way.
In May 2021, Neymar and PSG ended with all kinds of rumors when they reached an agreement to extend his stay at the Parc des Princes. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Neymar will make around €30 million per season with this new contract.
He signed a five-year deal that will run until June 2026 and his annual wage will also include add-ons. Moreover, he would bag a significant prize if Paris Saint-Germain lift the highly desired UEFA Champions League trophy.
How much does Neymar make a week?
Taking into account his €30 million annual salary, Neymar would earn about €2.5 million per month or €625,000 a week. That would make it nearly €89,000 a day, or around €3,700 per hour, or €62 per minute.
Needless to say, Neymar has been PSG’s biggest star since he joined them in 2017. He was joined later by Kylian Mbappe and now by Lionel Messi, but he remains a priceless superstar for an ambitious club.
